May 23rd - 26th
SEWERBY HALL

Spring Bank Holiday Weekend. Sewerby Hall, Bridlington, North Yorkshire. CONFIRMED
This year the Federals, Civilians and the Medical Team will be manning the house and the camps will be switched around. The scenario will be the 1863 Gettysburg campaign and the battle re-enactment will be a part of Pickett's Charge.
Members camping from Friday afternoon until Tuesday.

May 30th - June 1st
HORNBY CASTLE LANCASTER

Multi-period event at the 5th Hornby Castle Military Weekend.CONFIRMED
Organised by the South Cumbria and North Lancs. MVT. This is held in the beautiful surroundings of Hornby Castle, about 8 miles east of Lancaster, Lancashire, on the A683. This is mostly 1940s war time displays of vehicles, re-enactment and living history, but open to all aspects of history re-enactment, ancient and modern. For publicity poster click here.

Small Society event with living history and skirmish displays.
Saturday evening Swing band and dance in the modern hall, runs out in the vehicles, so jump in if there is an empty space, access to the otherwise private castle and gardens.

June 27th - 29th

STANFORD HALL

Stanford Hall, nr Stanford-on-Avon, Leicestershire, (M1 J19). CONFIRMED
Members camping available from Friday afternoon until Monday. Self-sponsored event.
Private Tactical in the woods on SATURDAY. Public access and Battle on SUNDAY only.

ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS

Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, Essex CONFIRMED
Members camping available from Friday afternoon until Monday.
Displays on SATURDAY and SUNDAY

Please note there are NO DOGS ALLOWED on site at the Gunpowder Mills.

NORFOLK HERITAGE PARK SHEFFIELD

August Bank Holiday event at Norfolk Heritage Park, Sheffield, . CONFIRMED
Sheffield City Council event with EventPlan staging Multi-Period displays again as part of the Sheffield Fayre.

Battles on Sunday and Monday afternoon. Mounted Cavalry in attendance.
Members camping available from Friday afternoon until Tuesday morning.

ACWS members are invited as individuals to this event. Note this is not a joint event.

SPETCHLEY PARK

Multi-period event by Worcester Re-enactors. Small ACWS Living History displays. CONFIRMED

December 6th
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
AND CHRISTMAS DANCE

The ACWS Annual General Meeting and The Christmas Dance are to be held CONFIRMED
on the same day at the Alsager Civic Centre, Lawton Road, Alsager, STOKE-ON-TRENT, ST7 2AE, on Saturday 6th December 2008. The AGM will be held in the afternoon and the Dance in the evening.
